"Wij zijn onderweg" is Dutch for "we are on the way". I wrote this song about four years ago for Pesach (Passover). The translated lyrics is this:

"They came from Egypt where, not long ago, they were poor slaves.

A man, Moses, came. He did miracles, which his God made him capable of.

After ten plagues the pharaoh finally let them go, so they were free.

They had a very long way to go. When they had just come out of the land they faced a big problem. Until Moses asked God for help.

The waters of the great sea went aside for them. They could safely pass over the dry land.

Just like them we are also on our way to a land, the land that God has promised.

This journey isn't easy. We also have to face problems where we can't see a way out.

The best that we can do at that time is take our problem to God.

He always wants to help you. He's waiting for you with the answer that's always the best.

We are also on the way, just like those people. We don't always know how things will be.

But our God is always with us. He will always help us with all difficulties.

Trust in Him!"

I've heard this idea lots of times, that we are like the Israelites who came out of slavery to go to freedom. Every day we face temptations, but God is always with us to help us overcome the sin that is pulling on us. We can trust in Him because "The LORD of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge." (Psalm 46:7)
