Breath of Life

My name is Fanuëlla Markerink and I was born in Holland/the Netherlands. When I was 12 I had my first guitar lessons. As soon as I was 'good enough' we stopped the lessons. I enjoyed playing together with a friend who played piano. At that moment in my life I lived in two different worlds: the one of my family which included God, church, and Christian/Messianic things, And the other one at school. None of my friends were Christian and the songs that we played and sang were not Christian as well. When I was 14 we moved to Portugal. (The longer story you can find under the name "OliFantje".) I started to play a lot of guitar and I got better at it. That's when I started to write my own songs, songs of praise to our Creator. I am not able to define what genre my music is. I have listened to a lot of genres , but with my songs I don't try to make them sound like these songs.

 

Sometimes I can write a song in a single day, sometimes the idea is there for a long time, but I don't work on it enough to finish it. Sometimes I write about my experiences, questions and ideas, sometimes my songs contain lots of Bible verses.

 

This website has long been my dream, but now it finally is reality. I hope to reach people that I can not reach in person. Not only the people I think of to send my songs, but also those I might forget and those I don't even know.

 

I pray God will use me to touch everyone who will listen to my music and songs. Let it inspire you to know God better.
